HOW WE HELP ARRANGE YOUR ARRIVAL TO BHUTAN?
Your arrival to Bhutan involves the following 5 steps.
Step 1: Develop traveler’s custom itinerary
After your first inquiry, we ask you to complete a quick questionnaire via email. Your answers and comments will helps us discern your travel interests and preferences, as well as consider other special requirements such as dietary restrictions, allergies, or any other needs in building your custom itinerary. We send you between 1-3 itineraries that are based on your answers and then help you select and cross out activities to present a final personalized itinerary. Based on the itinerary, we will calculate the amount you must pay i.e. tour payment in advance.
Step 2: Wire transfer tour payment and visa fee
Wire transfer the tour payment as well as USD 40 (one-time visa fee) to the Bhutan National Bank through one of our certified international partners as the ultimate beneficiary. You will also have to email the bank wire receipt copy.
Step 3: Visa application
We will apply for your tourist visa and email you a copy of your visa approval once your application has been approved. At your point of entry you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport.
Step 4: Book your flight
The only international airport in Bhutan is located at Paro. Currently, two airlines operate flights to Bhutan: Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. Departure points include Bangkok (Thailand), Kathmandu (Nepal), New Delhi and Kolkata (India), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Yangoon (Myanmar), and Singapore. It is also possible to travel to Bhutan from India overland by road. The main border crossing is Jaigon-Phuentsholing. There are two others, at Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar. We will book your flights for you.
Step 5: Airport pick-up
Finally, on the day of your expected arrival to Bhutan, one of our guides will be waiting to pick you from the airport. The guide will remain by your side for the entire duration for your stay.
