Trip Overview
The Matsutake festival takes place in the beautiful Ura valley in Bumthang. The festival gives you a chance to completely immerse yourself in the life of an Urap(Inhabitants of Ura valley)– embarking on mushroom picking excursions around the pristine forests, learning how to identify the mushroom, sampling traditional meals, engaging in folk songs and dances with the locals, learning about their arts, crafts and their traditional way of living. You will definitely take a step back in time when you visit the mystic Ura valley for the festival.
